Providing 1,000 mcg of folate per day, this product helps to promote folate intake without masking possible vitamin B12 deficiencies and promote healthy homocysteine levels. Folate is primarily involved in DNA synthesis and methylation reactions, such as the conversion of homocysteine to methionine. Studies have shown that dietary intake is less effective than supplementation to raise folate status. This product contains Metafolin, a proprietary and bioavailable form of folate found naturally in food and will not mask a vitamin B12 deficiency.
